The newsletter can help you, generate trust, develop brand awareness, produce leads, and build future business. In addition, it helps you build a list of e-mail addresses from those who visit your site but aren’t yet ready to make a purchase. 20 Ways To Create Million Dollar Ideas

20 Ways To Create Million Dollar Ideas

Big companies like Apple, super successful websites like Facebook, and bestselling books like The 4-Hour Workweek all have one thing in common:

They begin with a million dollar idea. million dollar idea, business coach, 40 hours to success

The big question is: How did their creators come up with these ideas? Did they sit around waiting for an inspirational flash or a mystic spell of luck?

The answer is: Spontaneity and luck had little to do with it.

20 Ways To Create Million Dollar Ideas, within this post, we’ll take a brief look at 20 tried and true techniques that some of the brightest and most successful entrepreneurs have used to generate million dollar ideas.

1. Generate lots of ideas.

The more ideas you create, the more likely you are to create an idea worth a million bucks.

2. Fail a lot.

All of the ideas that don’t work are simply stepping stones on your way to the one idea that does. Sometimes you have to fail a thousand times to succeed. No matter how many

mistakes you make or how slow you progress, you are still way ahead of everyone who isn’t trying.

3. Consume information consciously.

Some of my friends think it’s wasteful that I spend so much time reading books and blogs. It’s not. It’s what gives me an edge. I feel engulfed with new ideas and information. And

I’ve actually used what I’ve learned to launch a few successful websites. When you read things and interact with people, take off your consumer cap and put on your creator cap.

There are million dollar ideas (or at least some really good ideas) all around you waiting for discovery.

4. Focus on topics and ideas with large markets.

A million dollars is not a lot of money in the grand scheme of things, but it certainly is if you’re trying to earn it in a small market with limited opportunities. Even if you put Steve Jobs in the role of CEO for a new venture with a maximum market size of 100 people he wouldn’t make more than a few cents. ‘Big bucks’ result from high demand in a substantial

market.

5. Make sure there’s money in your market.

Bank robbers rob banks because that’s where the money is. Before you become emotionally attached to an idea, do a little market research. Make sure the idea you’re pursuing is where the money is. Who are the clients and consumers? How much disposable income do they have? Etc.

6. Keep your eyes, ears and mind wide open.

Oftentimes one idea’s failure will open a door to a new idea. Don’t get so hung up on one failed attempt that you miss the opening for many more.

7. Test variations of the same idea.

Think about the iPhone and the iPad for a second. One is just a variation of the other. Both are multi million dollar ideas.

8. Figure out what works well in one market and tailor it to another.

Find an idea that’s already proven and think about how it could be applied in a different context. Take a formula that works in one niche and apply it to a new niche. Or take the

best aspects of one product and combine it with another product.

9. Put the pieces together.

YouTube’s creators didn’t invent Flash. They didn’t invent modern digital cameras that can record computer-ready mpeg video. And they didn’t invent broadband Internet

connections, cheap web hosting, embedded website content, or one-click website uploading technologies either. What they invented is a technology that takes all of these

existing pieces and combines them into an online video sharing portal.

10. Spin a new twist on a previous breakthrough.

A new twist on an old idea can still be a million dollar idea. Take Facebook for instance, it wasn’t the first big social networking site, but Mark Zuckerberg and company added twists and features the others did not grasp. How can you take an existing million dollar idea, or even a common idea, and give it a new twist, a new direction and journey?

11. Systematize a popular service into a reproducible product.

A service is productized when its ownership can be exchanged. Think about Alienware and Dell back in their infancy. Both companies simply systematized the service of building IBM compatible PCs and then sold them as a packaged product. If you can convert a high demand service into a scalable, systematized, efficient process and sell it as a packaged deal, the million appears.

12. Play with opposites.

When something becomes extremely popular, the opposite often also becomes popular as people turn away from the mainstream. When WordPress, Blogger and Movable Type

exploded in popularity by giving anyone with an Internet connection the ability to share long, detailed blog posts with the world, Twitter and Tumblr came along and started the micro-blogging revolution – for people grasping to share extremely short content snippets. There are hundreds of other examples. Just remember, the opposite of a million dollar idea can paradoxically give birth to another million dollar idea.

13. Look for problems and solve them.

There are many real problems in this world. Like a business owner wondering why his profits are sinking. Like a golfer worrying about his slice. Like a young man who is growing

bald at 26. Like a mom whose child is suffering with allergies. Like a new dog owner who’s unsure what to do about her puppy barking all night. Solving problems like these can

make millions.

14. Design new products that support other successful products.

How much money do you think iPod, iPhone and iPad case manufacturers are making?

Millions? Billions? What about companies that jumped into the market of manufacturing

LCD and Plasma TV mounting brackets eight years ago? You get the idea.

15. Keep it simple.

Don’t over complicate a good idea. Business marketing studies have shown that the more product choices offered, the less products consumers typically buy. After all, narrowing down the best product from a pool of three choices is certainly easier than narrowing down the best product from a pool of three hundred choices. If the purchasing decision is

tough to make, most people will just give up. So if you’re designing a product line, keep it simple.

16. Exploit the resources and skills you already have.

It’s not as much about having the right resources as it is about exploiting your resources right now. Stevie Wonder couldn’t see, so he exploited his sense of hearing into a passion

for music, and he now has 25 Grammy Awards to prove it. If you pursue a new venture that involves leveraging your resources and skills, you’re ahead of the game.

17. Surround yourself with other thinkers.

You are the sum of the people you spend the most time with. If you hang with the wrong people, they will affect you negatively. But if you hang with the right people, you will be

more capable and powerful than you ever could have been alone. Find your tribe and collaborate to make a difference in all your lives. Bounce ideas off each other, etc.

18. Be enthusiastic about what you’re doing.

Enthusiasm is the lifeblood of creativity. Big ideas blossom when you’re passionate and enthusiastic about what you’re doing. It’s nearly impossible to pioneer ground breaking

solutions in a domain where there is not passionate intensity. But when your mind is stimulated by a fundamental curiosity and interest in the subject matter, your creativity will

run rampant and your motivation will skyrocket.

19. Accept constructive criticism, but ignore naysayers.

When someone spews negativity about your idea or product, remember, it doesn’t matter how many people don’t get it, it matters how many do. No matter how much progress you

make there will always be the people who insist that whatever you’re trying to do is impossible. Or they may jealously suggest that the idea or concept as a whole is utterly

ridiculous because nobody really cares. When you come across these people, don’t try to reason with them. Instead, forget that they exist. They will only waste your time and

energy.

20 Ways To Create Million Dollar Ideas and make it count

20. Actually do something with your ideas!

A million dollar ideas is simply a good idea given the chance to grow. On paper, Google and Facebook sprung from fairly ordinary ideas: ‘a search engine that’s accurate’ and ‘a

website where friends connect with each other.’ Remember, neither of these companies were the first ones in their market. Their ideas weren’t groundbreaking at the time. Many

people had the same ideas even before Google and Facebook existed. But Google’s and Facebook’s creators did something with their ideas. They worked hard and one-upped the competition. Their initial success was in their execution.

Remember, it’s not the ideas themselves that count, it’s what you do with them. With the right execution, a simple idea can evolve into a million dollar idea.

20 Ways To Create Million Dollar Ideas

Successful Leadership

To have successful leadership you have a tendency to repeat behavior that becomes both automatic and successful leader, business coaching, business leadership

unconscious over time. That’s why most leaders are used to making decisions in the

amount of time needed by others to understand the question. They’re on another level.

This stumps beginners whom are looking to become leaders. The most common question

becomes: How do leaders make great decisions even when they find themselves under

pressure?

The answer is that all their decisions are made based on accumulated experiences from

past situations which have helped them grow in their field.

It’s no surprise that great decisions are instinctual. In time, great leaders get used to being

under pressure. This become a normal feeling for them and they know how to control it.

On the other hand, regular people get stressed when they’re under pressure. They begin

making deficient decisions because their brain goes into panic mode.

Not everybody is born to become a leader, and those who manage to achieve success

definitely deserve to be rewarded with high salaries. If you want to become a better leader,

you should start by taking a look on the following activities that should be done

automatically, every day.

1. Let others know they can speak up

Leaders can intimidate their employees with their power and title. However, a good leader

knows that the best way of hearing the others’ points of views is by encouraging them to

speak up. Everybody deserves a say, and everybody has an opinion.

2. Make decisions

As a leader, you should be an expert at making decisions, whether you make them yourself

or you facilitate the dialogue so that you encourage your employees to reach an

agreement. Besides, successful leaders know everything about politics, and thus, they don’t

waste useful time on problems that are not very important.

How to create successful leadership

3. Communicate Expectations

Leaders need to be great communicators, especially when they share their performance expectations. Reminding your colleagues about your company’s goals, that have to be accomplished, is essential and should be done carefully. Communicating expectations can increase performance, and also help identify the members of the team that cannot live up to your expectations.

4. Challenge your colleagues to think

A successful leader understands the capabilities and weaknesses of his/her colleagues, and

uses this knowledge to challenge them. These are the leaders who excel at helping their

employees specialize in particular fields, by simply preventing them from getting too

comfortable.

5. Make sure you’re accountable to others

Good leaders allow themselves to be managed by colleagues, without becoming

controllable. They make sure that their colleagues come to them every time they’re in

need. This makes others acknowledge that their leader doesn’t think only about himself/

herself.

6. Lead by example

This means you should analyze your actions and practice exactly what you preach. Once

you act impeccably, your colleagues will see you as an example and try to act like you. If

you say one thing and do another, you’re basically a hypocrite. Always follow your own

teaching.

7. Measure and reward performance

This type of leadership implies valuing the people whom are responsible for the company’s

success. Therefore, you should try to measure your employees’ performance and reward

their achievements, while also promoting them as good examples for others.

8. Provide continuous feedback

Good leaders prove to their employees that their attention and activity is is turned to them.

They provide feedback and encourage their colleagues to do the same, thus heartening a

trustworthy relationship.

9. Assign and deploy talent accordingly

As a good leader, you should be aware of your talent pool and learn to use it as often as

you can. You should know how to activate your employees’ capabilities and their particular

skill-sets.

10. Ask questions and seek counsel

If you want to become a successful leader, you will have to constantly ask questions. Even

though leaders radiate the “I know everything vibe,” they sometimes need to enrich their knowledge and find out new things. Nobody is perfect. A good leader is constantly trying

to learn something new.

11. Solve problems and avoid procrastination

Famous leaders know how to find a problem and keep it under control. They don’t

procrastinate, and they’re very efficient when it comes to solving problems.

12. Positive energy and attitude

A good leader knows that the best workplace is one that’s always positive and inspiring. As

a result, you should always motivate your colleagues and encourage them to be positive.

Failures should never disrupt momentum. After all, failures allow us to learn from our

mistakes.

13. Be a good teacher

Many employees complain that bosses don’t know how to be teachers. A successful leader

never stops teaching, and always looks for methods of informing his/her colleagues about

trends, statistics, etc.

14. Invest in relationships

Instead of protecting your domain, you should try investing in relationships. Try to share

your success and build momentum for all your employees. This will result in tighter

relationships. Hierarchy is gross. Make your employees feel that you’re all on the save level.

15. Enjoy responsibilities

You can’t be a leader if you don’t love what you do. This means that you should enjoy not

only your power, but also the responsibilities that come with that power. A good leader

should serve others, and this task cannot be accomplished by someone who doesn’t

genuinely enjoy what he/she is doing.

I believe the tips mentioned above will help you. Don’t try to apply every single thing

mentioned at once. Take tiny steps, and eventually you’ll become a great leader.

Remember: Practice makes perfect.

Successful Leadership

Google Fiber Teases 34 More Cities Says Business Coach ISG3

Google Fiber Teases 34 More Cities With Actual, Honest-To-Goodness Broadband Competition Says Business Coach ISG3

One of the interesting things about Google Fiber is that it isn’t just people getting shiny new 1 Gbps connections for $70: it’s a network data collection exercise, a marketing experiment, a testbed for new services and ads — but first and foremost it’s a massive public relations fire under the posteriors of the nation’s all-too-comfortable, government-pampered, uncompetitive broadband ISPs. Google Fiber isn’t really even available to all that many people (a few thousand, probably), yet its impact on the national discourse has been massive. Also impressive has been the sheer volume of free marketing Google gets for the service as cities — dissatisfied with existing broadband ISPs — climb on top of and over one another to be first in line to be next in line.
Google’s first call for a potential city (before they picked Kansas City) resulted in an unprecedented nationwide media frenzy. Four years later with just two (Kansas City and Provo, barely) markets launched and a third planned (Austin), its pretty clear that Google Fiber won’t be coming to most of us anytime soon. Still, Google recently cleverly teased some 34 cities in 9 metro areas with the faint possibility they could be next in line. From aGoogle blog post:

“We aim to provide updates by the end of the year about which cities will be getting Google Fiber. Between now and then, we’ll work closely with each city’s leaders on a joint planning process that will not only map out a Google Fiber network in detail, but also assess what unique local challenges we might face….While we do want to bring Fiber to every one of these cities, it might not work out for everyone. But cities who go through this process with us will be more prepared for us or any provider who wants to build a fiber network. In fact, we want to give everyone a boost in their thinking about how to bring fiber to their communities; we plan to share what we learn in these 34 cities…”

In short, Google’s again creating free media coverage for themselves while drawing attention to the ignored competitive problems in the country’s broadband market. Cities that won’t get Google Fiber (and I’d bet only one or two of the 34 actually will) will at least benefit from the experiences Google and other cities have learned as they attempt to navigate installation pitfalls and disrupt the status quo.
Google Fiber’s selection of these 34 cities also indicates they want to start a broader conversation about the bills ISPs have gotten passed in a number of states that hamstring town and city efforts to wire themselves with broadband — even if nobody else will. The Carolinas in particular have been a real hotbed of protectionist legislationcrafted by the likes of Time Warner Cable, AT&T and CenturyLink, and by focusing on the Raleigh-Durham area and Charlotte, Google pretty clearly wants to bring the focus on these awful bills into the foreground.

Are you familiar with the term ‘ambidexterity’? This term is used to describe the ability to use both hands. Famous individuals like Albert Einstein, Fleming, Harry Truman, Leonardo da Vinci, and Michelangelo were said to be ambidextrous individuals. As you can see, it’s quite hard to use both hands with dexterity. If you’re a right-handed individual, you will find it hard to use your left hand in the same way, and vice versa. Do you think it will be possible to achieve whole-brain thinking? Well, that’s not impossible because you can do that if you know mind mapping.

Being ambidextrous can also be achieved if you’re able to do multiple tasks at the same time. For example, you’re watching TV as you answer the phone; while talking over the phone, you will jot down important notes or information dictated by the person on the other end of the line. If you can do these things, then it can be said that both hemispheres of your brain are functioning. Unknowingly, most individuals are utilizing both hemispheres of their brain everyday in accomplishing their tasks.

How can you identify a person using only his left or right brain hemisphere? To understand it better, you need to know the different qualities that depict the left and right side of the brain. The right hemisphere of your brain is responsible for your qualities such as having artistic abilities, being a risk taker, imaginative, creative, highly philosophical, etc.

While the left hemisphere of your brain is responsible for your qualities like being a conformist, practical, can comprehend effectively, seeks order, etc. If you’re a person who relies on strong intuition and acts subjectively and holistically, you’re a right-brain individual while the left-brain individuals tend to be analytical, logical, and rational.

The mental prowess of individuals depends on how they use the brain. If you try to observe children, you will discover that they are usually using their right brain hemisphere because they display spontaneity, imagination, great creativity, enthusiasm, and open mindedness. As an individual grows older, they also grow socially, culturally, and sometimes racial influences also hold back such natural traits.

If you want to achieve awareness at a much higher level, you must learn to be ambidextrous; that is, you need to use both hemispheres of your brain. The first thing that you need to do is to work on the learning activities that focus in the right brain hemisphere like analogies, metaphor, patterning, visuals, calculation, and role playing. In order to develop the ambidextrous mind, you can get involved in meditation and reflective thinking.

Mind mapping is one way to achieve an ambidextrous mind. Through mind mapping, you can diffuse your thoughts, thereby streaming thought lines and associations. You can associate effectively if you can find the links to ideas and logic. If you try to explore the ideas and logic, it will eventually lead to creativity, insight, and imagination.

It you want to strengthen your perception clarity, dissemination, and vividness, try to make use of colors, symbols, and pictures in your mind maps. By using mind mapping, you can employ your brain’s subtle aspects.

How do you go about mind mapping? On a blank page, you can put the central word or topic at the center. This is where mind mapping begins. From the central word or topic, you can generate ideas. By making use of associative thinking, keywords can branch off from the central word/topic to related areas.

For example, you’re trying to decide on what career path you need to follow. In this situation, the center word will be ‘careers’. Let your imagination rein free so that you can generate concepts and connecting words. Soon enough, you’ll see that from the word ‘career’, you can branch off to corporate, overseas, expatriate, to Asia and other nations.

In a template exclusively designed for goal setting, mind mapping will be used to tap into potential ideas that never crossed your mind when you were using the conventional format of linear note. There still exists structurally, because the mind maps will allow you to use single keywords with branching lines so that you can identify linkage relationships. You will see this as you add new words or ideas on the screen or paper.
